Bia Finial Angled T-bracket - (TBABF)
Most T-brackets are built for one job: a square post-to-beam joint on a 4x4, 6x6, or 8x8. That is not this plate.
TBABF is a flat, face-mounted T for the joint where a brace, rafter, or strut hits a post or beam at a pitch. King post to angle brace. Corner post to strut. Tie beam to an incoming member that is not square. The stem of the T follows the incoming piece. The crossbar follows the through member. The angle is the angle on your drawing — 4/12, 6/12, 12/12, or something off-list.
It is cut from A36 structural steel as one piece. No weld at the crotch of the T. Thickness, leg lengths, holes, and finish are set to the wood you actually have, including dressed cedar that is not a catalog 5-1/2".The Bia finial sits at the junction so this T belongs with BB5LBF, BB3LBF, RPBBF, and BFBBLAB. That is the matching-set reason to pick this SKU over the plain angled T (ATB12). The reason either one beats a stock T is the angle and the timber size.
Get the right kind of T
Search “pergola T bracket” and two different products get mixed together.
Wrap-around 3-way T’s sleeve the post and catch beams on two or three faces. The inner opening is fixed at 3-1/2" or 5-1/2". That is a kit-pergola connector. It is not a face plate on an exposed truss.
Listed-size flat T plates are closer — they sit on the face of the joint — but they are usually locked to 90° (or a separate 45° SKU), a 4" / 6" / 8" menu, one hole style, and one or two thicknesses.
If your brace is 7/12, your post is a planed 5-3/4" cedar, or you need 3/16" or 3/8" plate to match the rest of the truss, a menu size will not sit right. TBABF is cut to the joint you have.
We also make the square T (TB10) when the incoming member is 90°. Same shop, same steel, same hole and finish options. You do not need to leave this site to cover both joints.
Why the angle is the whole product
A 90° T on a pitched brace leaves a wedge of daylight and puts fasteners in the wrong place. A 45° T on a 6/12 brace does the same thing the other direction.
Give us the pitch, the angle in degrees, or a sketch. The stem is cut to that. That is the difference between a plate that sits down and a plate you fight on the lift.

Do not order a T for a three-member corner. Do not order a five-leg hub for a simple brace-to-post. Count the members first. If you are not sure, call and we will point you to the right SKU.
Where it belongs on the job
Exposed king-post trusses, pergola and pavilion braces, porch struts, barn and timber-frame work where the iron stays visible. Indoor beams too, if the rest of the Bia set is already specified.
