Angled Inside Flange Joist Hangers – Custom Heavy Duty Hidden Flange AJHIF14 Connectors for Sloped & Angled Installs

Achieve Clean, Concealed Support for Sloped Connections with the AJHIF14

Elevate your angled timber projects with discreet strength and professional aesthetics using our AJHIF14 Angled Inside Flange Joist Hangers. These premium custom heavy-duty hidden flange connectors are engineered for sloped rafters, angled joists, or beams in tight/confined spaces—tucking the mounting flange out of sight for a seamless, gap-free look on exposed ceiling rafters, pergola supports, porch framing, gazebo beams, deck joists, or timber-frame features.Precision-cut in Superior, Wisconsin from a single piece of high-grade American structural steel plate, each AJHIF14 is fabricated to your exact joist/rafter dimensions and pitch/angle. We provide 1/16" inside clearance for easy slide-on installation (or "tight fit" on request), with no field bending, shimming, or visible industrial hardware required.

Why Builders, Designers, and DIYers Choose Cutting Edge Metals AJHIF14 Hangers
  • Angled + Hidden Flange Design — Built-in custom pitch matches your slope while the concealed inside flange minimizes visibility—ideal for tight spaces, exposed ceilings, or designs where clean lines matter most.
  • Fully Custom Fabrication — Specify any angle/pitch (e.g., 15°, 30°, 45°, or unique roof slope), joist/rafter size, direction (up/down/left/right), steel thickness up to 1/2", hole patterns (offset for lags if needed), and 10+ durable finishes—far more precise than adjustable mass-produced options.
  • Superior Strength & Integrity — One-piece solid steel construction delivers excellent shear, uplift, and load performance for demanding sloped applications in high-wind/snow areas—outlasting thin or stamped alternatives.
  • Made in the USA Difference — Expertly cut from premium American plate with attention to detail, offering lasting weather resistance and craftsmanship that beats imported or generic hardware.

Custom Angle, Hole Size, Thickness, and Finish Available on Beam Hangers

Angle, hole size, finish and thickness are things we can custom fit as well. Select the proper angle or pitch when ordering and we'll make them just right. When selecting, down angle means the basket will angle down, as if it were at the ridge beam and the joist angles down away from the ridge beam. Up angle would be the opposite side (the lowest side of the rafter). For left or right, pick the direction that you see it angling if you were to stand in front of it while it is mounted on a wall. If it comes out of the all and goes to the left, then select left. Opposite for right. To determine the hole size, just select the diameter of screws you will be using to install these and we will make the holes sufficiently large enough for them to fit just right. The holes may need to be offset for lag screw installation, depending on the ID of the basket holding the joist. If that is the case, we will automatically do that for you. Typically, if the joist is below 4"in width, we will offset the holes. If you want bolt-through on the basket, just put a note in the order when going through checkout to let us know. If you need a hand ordering these, just give us a call at (715)718-0781 and press one for a project advisor.

Due to them not sitting on a shelf, they cannot be returned due to the wrong size being ordered. The project will typically take between 2-3 weeks to manufacture. If you need to have them sooner please select "rush" when ordering. We will get them out as soon as we possibly can, or call (715) 718-0781 to discuss faster lead times.
