Angled Joist Hangers With Cropped Bottom

AJHIF14 Angled Inside Flange Joist Hanger – Custom Heavy Duty Hidden Flange Joist Hanger for Sloped Rafters in Tight Spaces

Dress up exposed rafters and beams with seamless style and strength using the AJHIF14 Angled Inside Flange Joist Hanger – a premium custom heavy duty hidden flange joist hanger engineered for sloped rafters or angled joists in confined areas. The inside (concealed) flange tucks mounting edges out of sight, while the built-in angle matches your exact roof pitch or slope—creating clean, gap-free connections that look intentional and professional on ceiling rafters, pergola beams, porch framing, gazebo supports, deck joists, or timber-frame projects.

Unlike standard slopeable hangers that need bending, shimming, or leave visible flanges and industrial vibes, the AJHIF14 is fully custom-fabricated in the USA from high-grade American steel (thicknesses from 1/8" to 1/2"+), tailored to your joist/beam dimensions and precise angle for effortless slide-on fit and outstanding performance.

Why the AJHIF14 Angled Inside Flange Joist Hanger Excels:
  • Angled + Hidden Flange Combo – Built-in pitch for sloped rafters/beams + concealed flange for minimal visibility—ideal for tight spaces or exposed ceiling rafters where aesthetics matter.
  • Custom Pitch & Fit – Specify exact angle (e.g., any degree for your roof slope), joist/rafter size (1/16" over clearance for easy install), steel thickness, hole patterns, and premium finishes (black powder coated, hammered black, oil-rubbed bronze, rusted patina) for corrosion resistance and refined rustic charm.
  • Heavy Duty Support – Robust steel delivers reliable shear and load transfer for angled joist-to-beam or rafter connections in pergolas, gazebos, porches, decks, and timber framing.
  • Versatile Exposed Applications – Perfect custom angled inside flange joist hanger for tight-space installs, exposed ceiling beams, sloped rafters in pergolas/gazebos, porch framing, or any project needing classy, hidden support.
  • Simple, Professional Install – Pre-drilled holes for bolting/screwing; compatible with pressure-treated, cedar, reclaimed, or heavy timbers—no field adjustments required.
From upgrading exposed ceiling rafters to framing elegant sloped pergola beams, the AJHIF14 combines precise angled support with hidden elegance—custom heavy duty angled inside flange joist hangers that elevate your timber project from functional to architectural.

Custom Angle, Hole Size, Thickness, and Finish Available on Beam Hangers

Angle, hole size, finish and thickness are things we can custom fit as well. Select the proper angle or pitch when ordering and we'll make them just right. When selecting, down angle means the basket will angle down, as if it were at the ridge beam and the joist angles down away from the ridge beam. Up angle would be the opposite side (the lowest side of the rafter). For left or right, pick the direction that you see it angling if you were to stand in front of it while it is mounted on a wall. If it comes out of the all and goes to the left, then select left. Opposite for right. To determine the hole size, just select the diameter of screws you will be using to install these and we will make the holes sufficiently large enough for them to fit just right. The holes may need to be offset for lag screw installation, depending on the ID of the basket holding the joist. If that is the case, we will automatically do that for you. Typically, if the joist is below 4"in width, we will offset the holes. If you want bolt-through on the basket, just put a note in the order when going through checkout to let us know. If you need a hand ordering these, just give us a call at (715)718-0781 and press one for a project advisor.

Due to them not sitting on a shelf, they cannot be returned due to the wrong size being ordered. The project will typically take between 2-3 weeks to manufacture. If you need to have them sooner please select "rush" when ordering. We will get them out as soon as we possibly can, or call (715) 718-0781 to discuss faster lead times.
